Almost 2 Weeks!

I can't believe Noah will be 2 weeks old on Tuesday! Time is going by so fast already. We have learned so much in the past 2 weeks in the Hickok household including the dogs. I have compiled a list for you.

1. Newborns don't sleep through the night.

2. Licking the baby is unacceptable! (Finn has a hard time with this one.)

3. Sleeping is overrated.

4. Burping out loud is appropriate wherever you are.(That only pertains to Noah.)

5. Formula is really expensive.

6. Take cover when Noah is completely exposed. You never know what will come flying out. We have been learning the hard way.

7. If people are willing to help, accept their offers. (Thank you so much family and friends. You have made the transition to parenthood much easier with all of your help.)

Holy cow - what a baby! He looks like he is a few months old already! That is just the way Landon looked! They eat like they are 2 mos old too! Congrats to you both on a healthy baby. And about sleeping again - yeah right - maybe when they move out!!!
can't wait to get down and see you.

I especially like the last one-- help is a good thing to have! He is just so cute and we are so glad that you are settling in as a family!

We are thankful that you and John have been so willing to open your home and make us all feel so welcome and part of Noah's new life! Love, Mom M

You crack me up! Isn't it amazing that Noah waits for you to take the diaper off to spray? That happened with Logan a couple of times. You will get the hang of it soon. Yes...help is always nice to have. I'm glad that you noticed that early. Don't try being "super mom".

Just wanted to let you know that I just read your recent update to my mom over the phone. She feels so bad that she hasn't spoken to you yet. See, I am part of that reason. I put her in the hospital last Friday for a vacation! She hurt her back last Thursday and was in bed all Friday morning. She was not a happy camper when I did this but I thought it was best for her since she really doesn't know how to sit and relax. With getting Grandma and Grandpa Bob moved in, finishing the kitchen and bathroom remodel and getting the house ready for the shower things have been a little crazy! That's why I called it a vacation. Now all she can do is read and relax!! You shall hear from her soon. We are hoping that she will get out tomorrow.

I sleep less now that they are teenagers. Enjoy your peaceful time of rest while he is young and caged up in a crib...Amy
